The Unstoppable Force That is Clark

Fully operational lawnmower with all its springs.

Emails from today.  [Michelle is Eric’s 17-year old daughter, writing to him about a swimming recruiting trip a college has invited her to attend.  Clark is our 15-year old ADHD wonder kid.]

If only Clark could mow the lawn without coming in the house 6 times (to consult his support staff/”can’t remember why I came in”/wipe his face/get a drink/get a snack/go to bathroom) during what should be a 20-minute job, figure out how to sweep up the lawn clippings he left all over the driveway, put them in the trashcan after we ask him to and he finally does sweep them up, put up the broom, put up the lawnmower, put up the gas can, and shut the shed door, he’d be unstoppableTHAT BOY.

That boy.🙂

Did you hear the neighbors brought the dogs back? He left the gate open.

At least he didn’t remove the spring this time…

  1. Susan's Boyfriend says:

When I used to mow the 1/2 acre lawn in Minnesota, I’d stop every now and then to weed, fix the edging, move the mulch back, etc.

Took me over an hour to mow. Took my ex about 40 minutes – so it’d drive her crazy that it took me longer.

For Clark – if you have a bagging mower, you can set the deck to the lowest setting and “mow” the driveway, This will such up the clippings into the bag.

Highly recommended for Houston, especially if you’ve edged with a power edger and gotten dirt everywhere.

And I still suck at texting.

Oh, he’ll like that idea about mowing the driveway. And I do, for sure, since I am the one who says
    Clark — sweep
Clark — put the swept clippings in the trash can
Clark — put up the broom
Clark — put up the dust pan🙂
    Etc.
